Oh What a Night!

Well, we can't quite believe it's all over. The ball was a definite success. Such a glitzy affair and so much money raised for Breast Cancer Campaign. Our initial count estimates we have raised £12,500.00 (thank you David H for counting all the cash and keeping it safe). Thanks to everyone who helped us plan, prepare and everyone who contributed to making the night such a success. Katie Derham was particularly amazing in running the auction and we were not surprised when Emma's very own father in law - Steve - proved a total success as MC.

For all our bidders make sure you get your money in quick. The quicker we receive it, the quicker it gets to the charity and on to supporting further research.

Many of you asked would we do it again. We're delighted you had such an amazing time and once we have had lots of rest and sleep, maybe we'll think about it.........!!!!!!!

Feel free to let us know your thoughts about the ball.

Thanks to everyone,

Emma & Laura xxxx

Newcastle Pub Quiz on 22 September 2007

Well, what a brilliant night the Newcastle quiz proved to be. Loads of people turned up to support Breast Cancer Campaign and our fundraising efforts. The raffle went down a treat - we had some fabulous prizes, including: a meal for two with wine; champagne; tons of booze; our very special pamper hampers; and loads more. Our now famous, old school tombola made most people prize winners, but the piece de resistance was the quiz itself. Hosted by Laura's dad - it had everyobe entertained and scratching their heads for answers. A massive thanks to him, Laura's mum and sister, Emily - you are all true stars. Big thanks to the Cradlewell for their lovely buffet and generous donation anduse of their vejnue and to everyone for turnng up. A massive £620.47 was raised!! More than we could have wished for. Thanks, Laura and Em xx

Emma featured in Top Sante Mag - October 2007

Emma and hubby Dave agreed to do an interview and photo shoot to show everyone that there is love after a breast cancer diagnosis! Emma loved the fact that the main focus of the interview was Dave talking about why he loved his wife so much!

The ball committee

It's about time we introduce you to our fantastic ball committee. They really have been great in helping us plan for the ball of the year and sharing some of the enormity of the task in hand. Dom and Kelly are the married contingent of the committee. Sharon, Dave and Carly are also helping us with preparations. A huge thank you to them all for their time and effort.

Carly 'what a star' Worrall deserves special public recognition this month for all she's done to bring in some amazing raffle prizes for the ball. She not only did some market research to come up with the final name for the ball, but more recently she's brought Levis and Principles in as donators to the raffle. All this as well as working full time and managing to take some time out to celebrate her first year wedding anniversary - congrats to the lovely Carly and kev.

You're all fab, Emma and Laura xx
